To thoroughly implement the strategy of developing a country strong in quality and drive the transformation of the quality management system (QMS) in the fastener industry from "certificate-only" to "results-oriented", a joint special training session themed "Local Implementation Practices of Fastener Quality Management Systems" and "Interpretation of Domestic and Foreign Mechanical Performance Standards" was successfully held from June 11 to 12, 2026. The training was hosted by the National Technical Committee 85 on Fasteners of Standardization Administration of China and organized by Ningbo CMIF Machinery Parts Testing Co., Ltd.

Hosted by Chen Yanling
This training precisely focused on the pain points and difficulties throughout the entire industry chain of production, testing, and delivery, and closely followed the core trends of industry standardization upgrading and refined quality development. It attracted more than 100 participants, including quality directors, system administrators from fastener manufacturing and processing enterprises across the country, as well as supplier quality management personnel from application fields such as automotive and nuclear power. They gathered for in-depth exchanges and professional learning on core topics including QMS implementation, interpretation of domestic and foreign standards, and refined control of product performance.
Day 1: Quality Management System Transformation from "Certificate-only" to "Results-oriented"
The first day of the training focused on "Local Implementation Practices of Fastener Quality Management Systems", addressing the long-standing challenge for fastener enterprises where complex QMS documents fail to integrate into daily operations. Through authoritative expert lectures and practical case studies, participants were guided to build an "executable, traceable, and effective" quality management system, effectively bridging the "last mile" of QMS implementation.
Three distinguished experts delivered brilliant keynote speeches. Mr. Yao Huatang, a senior auditor from Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance, gave a lecture on "Practical Implementation of ISO 9000 Quality Management System in Fastener Enterprises". He provided a replicable and operational practical methodology covering system establishment, risk identification, process optimization, internal audit, and management review.

Ms. Wang Tingting, a QMS auditor at Fastener Branch of Fawer Automotive Parts Co., Ltd., delivered an in-depth lecture on "Implementation Guide for IATF 16949 in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises". Based on years of practice at Fawer Fastener, she systematically explained the localized path of the automotive industry quality management system for small and medium-sized fastener enterprises, helping them meet the stringent quality requirements of the automotive supply chain.

Day 2: Interpreting Global Standards to Empower Products for Global Markets
The second day focused on "Interpretation of Domestic and Foreign Mechanical Performance Standards", systematically improving participants' ability to understand and apply core mechanical performance standards. It helped enterprises accurately grasp the differences between domestic and foreign standards to avoid quality risks or export compliance issues caused by misinterpretation of standards.
Mr. Ding Baoping, Chairman of the National Technical Committee 85 on Fasteners, delivered a special training on "Interpretation of National Standards for Mechanical Properties of Fasteners". Focusing on the core GB/T 3098 series standards, he systematically sorted out technical evolution, test methods, and judgment criteria, and announced key technical points of ongoing standard development, enabling enterprises to accurately master the latest requirements of national standards.

Ding Baoping
Mr. Ren Chibing, a senior expert on European and American fastener standards and consultant to the National Technical Committee 85 on Fasteners, delivered a speech on "Overview of European and American Standards for Mechanical Properties of Fasteners". He systematically compared the differences between American and European standards in material selection, performance grades, testing, and other dimensions. Drawing on years of experience in international standardization, he provided authoritative guidance for enterprises' export compliance and global layout.

Warm Response & Fruitful Learning for Participants
The two-day training balanced theory and practice. The lecturers boasted diverse backgrounds as standard drafters, senior auditors, and industry technical consultants, and the courses were highly recognized by all participants. The successful training not only provided authoritative guidance for fastener enterprises to address weaknesses in quality control, standardize standard application, and improve product consistency and reliability, but also injected new momentum into promoting the high-quality and standardized development of the entire fastener industry.
